Fresh off a supporting gig on Delta Spirit‘s 30-date North American tour, WATERS premiered their video for “Mickey Mantle” on Consequence of Sound. The track, which highlighted the band’s opening set at the Fillmore last month, is the third off the band’s debut album Out In The Light to get the official video treatment (after “For The One” and “Back To You”).

The video was filmed as part of Music Video Race, which paired musicians and filmmakers together to create music videos over just one weekend in May. WATERS’ partner-in-crime was director Peter Ruecktenwald of Vidola Productions, who used live-action, stop-motion footage of frontman Van Pierszalowski in an apartment in the City, culminating with a beautiful, sun-drenched rooftop shot of Sutro Tower. In a few weeks, WATERS returns to the road, this time with 90s alt-rock heroes Nada Surf. The tour kicks off at Chameleon Club in Lancaster, PA on 6/19/12 and crosses through the midwest, southeast, and southwest, before the band heads back to San Francisco for a hometown headlining show at Brick and Mortar on 7/18/12.
