Oakland’s electronic duo Finally Boys, comprised of Preetom Choudhury and Shane LeBlac, specializes in euphoric club jams, synthesizing inspiration from trance, euro-house, hip-hop, and k-pop. The resulting sound creates a sense of angelic, blissful energy, apparent on their three singles (which can be downloaded here).
Finally Boys’ debut EP Feelings is due “ASAP.” In the meantime you can stream their singles on Soundcloud and download their mixtape for Don’t Die Wondering. They will also be opening for How To Dress Well and Babe Rainbow on Friday, June 15 at Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco.
Babe Rainbow is a Vancouver-based electronic artist, whose laptop musings generate an original, beat-centric sound between spacey dream-pop and instrumental hip-hop. His Endless Path EP is out on Warp Records.
Rainbow is on tour with headliner How To Dress Well, the lo-fi R&B revisionist project of Chicago’s Tom Krell. Krell’s soulful falsetto and hypnotic production has established How To Dress Well as a frontrunner in the new-R&B scene. His upcoming album Total Loss will be released on Acéphale this fall. Check out the new single from that release:
Catch all three acts on June 15 at Rickshaw Stop. Tickets are $14 at the door, but don’t count on there being too many left come showtime.
