San Francisco bluegrass quintet The Bothers Comatose will release their sophomore album Respect the Van on May 22nd, and have scheduled the official release party for this Saturday at Great American Music Hall. Sioux City Kid and Tiny Television will open to kick the night off. Check out the video for “The Scout” (off Van) below.
The band is a product of brothers Alex and Ben Morrison’s family acoustic parties, which heavily influence their current bluegrass-folk fusion sound. With Alex on banjo and vocals, and Ben on guitar and vocals, the lineup is rounded out by Geo Benedetti (bass, vocals), Ryan Avellone (mandolin), and Philip Brezina (fiddle). Following Friday’s show, they’ll be heading out on the road for a busy summer. Check out all the dates below and support ’em if you can.
