Lilac made a promising debut back in 2011 with their self-titled EP, a mix of psych-pop and rock and roll that properly introduced the band to the Bay Area scene. Comprised originally of Will Ivy (BRIDEZ, Honey, Hunx and his Punx, Girls) and Kirsten Knick, the band has since grown to a trio with the addition of bassist Chrys Nodal.
In addition to the expanded lineup, the year 2012 means a proper full-length from Lilac – Christine, due out May 22nd via Different Fur. There will also be a cassette release sometime in the future of all Lilac material recorded to date via Burger Records. “Shame” is the first taste from Christine.
The album release party for Christine is scheduled for Saturday, May 26th at the Lost Church. This show is actually a double release celebration, as Carletta Sue Kay will also be performing in support of their debut album.
