The Switchboard Music Festival will celebrate its fifth anniversary on April 1st with eight hours of non-stop music from Bay Area artists who are pushing the boundaries in their respective genres.
The lineup includes a number of artists we’ve blogged about here before — Faun Fables, Beep, Dominique Leone, and Ramon & Jessica — as well as Volti, Jeff Anderle, Cornelius Boots, Dan Cantrell, Grains, Danny Holt, Hurd Ensemble, The Living Earth Show, Mercury Falls, Nonsemble 6, and the San Francisco Conservatory Guitar Ensemble.
Ryan Brown, a co-founder of the festival, states, “We started the Festival to highlight Bay Area musicians who are making incredibly creative music that, because it doesn’t fall easily into a single style, has no obvious home of its own. The organization has grown tremendously over the past five years, becoming a non-profit organization, attracting national attention, and, last year, moving to Brava Theater — a larger venue to accommodate an ever-increasing audience size.”
In the below video, you can see festival co-directors Jeff Anderle, Ryan Brown, and Jonathan Russell talk about the upcoming event.
