Starting tonight marks the birth of a new music festival in Boise, Idaho: Treefort Music Fest, boasting their own phenomnemal local headliner Built to Spill; in addition, Why?, Of Montreal, AraabMuzik, Au, Tennis, K. Flay are all on the lineup. Scattered amongst the fine print are numerous wonderful San Francisco Bay Area bands also trekking out to Treefort: Mwahaha, Blasted Canyons, Tartufi, Appetite, Sister Crayon, Night Genes, The Spyrals, The Soft White Sixties and Maus Haus.
Given the long list of local bands playing this brand new festival, it’s no surprise that The Bay Bridged will be on the ground checking out what downtown Boise has to offer this weekend. Follow us on Twitter and check our website over the next few days for exclusive Treefort Music Fest coverage.
Portland’s Death Songs is on the list of bands we hope to get a glimpse of, being one of many incredible Northwest Americana-folk bands on Treefort’s schedule, up there with Typhoon, The Cave Singers, Loch Lomond, Run On Sentence, and so many more.
