It’s safe to say singer-songwriter Denison Witmer went through a lot in his personal life while making his forthcoming record, The Ones Who Wait (out March 16th on Asthmatic Kitty Records). Over the span of time in which the album was created Witmer got married, started a business, lost his father and then found out he was going to become one himself.
While discussing his new album, Witmer says it is about “patience and reverence. Being mindful and open to what you’re experiencing. A desire to take hold of what’s happening in your life, yet trusting the mystery of it enough to let go and participate rather than dictate.”
Witmer is coming to San Francisco on March 10th, where he will be opening for William Fitzsimmons at the Independent.
