Frankie Rose – Night Swim by Slumberland Records

Frankie Rose has dropped The Outs from her band name, as well as the reverb-heavy wall of sound from 2010’s Candy. No longer will she be known for the lo-fi Brooklyn girl group sound, or for quitting bands at the height of their popularity, for that matter, because she has fully come out on her own.

For her 2012 sophomore release, Intersteller, out now on Slumberland and streamable at Spin, Rose has toned down the sleighbells and fuzz for cleaner, gentle textures — dream pop at it’s finest.

Check out the new video for “Gospel/Grace” below, and mark your calendars for April 21, when she will be gracing the stage at Brick and Mortar Music Hall.
