Mac McCaughan of Superchunk, Portastatic, and Merge Records comes to the Swedish for a rare solo performance on Thursday, February 23rd (7pm, $15-17, 21+, Buy Tickets). He’ll be joined by Portland’s Sun Foot, as well as That Dog/The Rentals’ Rachel Haden and The Essex Green‘s Sasha Bell.

Former San Francisco resident Jolie Holland brings her folky songs to the Swedish on Friday, February 24th (7pm, $16.50-$18.50, 21+, Buy Tickets). There, she’ll be joined by a set of terrific locals: The Mumlers‘ Will Sprott, Dreams, and Emily Jane White.

Portland folk artist Laura Veirs comes to SF for two shows at the Swedish on Saturday, February 25th. One is an afternoon performance for families in support of her excellent 2011 children’s record Tumble Bee (3pm, $18, All Ages, Buy Tickets). The other is a nighttime show for adults that also includes Foxtails Brigade, Carlos Forster, and Tyler Lyle (7pm, $16, 21+, Buy Tickets).
