To celebrate its 20th year, Noise Pop will be operating a Pop-Up Shop out of the ground floor of The Bold Italic‘s HQ at 34 Page St. For three weeks leading up to the start of the Noise Pop Music Festival, the Pop-Up Shop will be featuring live music, drinks, food, and it’s safe to assume, general hilarity for all.
The launch event going down Thursday, Feb. 4 pretty well encapsulates what the pop up shop will entail: The Soft White Sixties and Tim Cohen’s Magic Trick playing sets, Britt Govea of folkYEAH! DJing, and Secret Seven Records displaying a selection of its releases by local bands from the 60s to the 80s. Not enough for ya? There will be chicken and waffles, BBQ, and whiskey. And bring an old but comfy shirt, because San Franpsycho will be screen printing on site. And that’s not all — so if you’re still not convinced this is the spot to be, I give up. (Ed. note: the RSVP list for tonight’s event is full.)
