Seemingly out of left field (or rather, the East Bay) comes B. Hamilton, conceptualized by Ryan Christopher Parks. For the most part, this is raw rock and roll, with throaty, angry lines that are somewhat therapeutic. Overall, Everything I Own is Broken an honest and exceptional album, all the way through the very last few songs.
Everything I Own is Broken was self-released last month as a free download, and according to Parks was recorded “around Oakland in the Summer, the Winter, and the Fall. Fuck Spring.” True, the album was very much a East Bay packaged product; Shipwreck Studios and Sharkbite Studios pulled together the tracks, and Matthew Tammariello (shortcircles) mastered the album.
