Caleb Nichols, as frontman of Grand Lake, former bassist of Port O’Brien, and touring member of WATERS and Release The Sunbird, apparently isn’t busy enough. He has announced his new project: Churches. The debut single from Churches is available as a free download via Bandcamp:
“Save Me”, a lush and effervescent piece of power pop, features WATERS frontman Van Pierszalowski and guitarist Nikolai Haukeland, as well as Rogue Wave drummer Pat Spurgeon. The song was recorded at Tiny Telephone and mixed by Ian Pellicci.
The “Save Me” single will be released officially on November 15th, complete with remixes and original demo versions (pay-what-you-want model, with 50% of proceeds going to 826 Seattle).
