Along the lines of the awesome regionally-focused compilation series started earlier this year, blended with the SubPop Singles idea — comes Davis/Sacramento label KDVS Recordings‘ newest project, the Cassetteofthemonth Subscription Club. Members can opt in at any time, but beginning this past October, a $40 subscription will grant one split cassette per month, side one being a Davis or Sacramento band and side two, a band from just about anywhere.

A list of participating bands is announced, but is still growing. Psychic Reality will contribute a cassette side — the project of Leyna Noel Tilbor, originally based in San Francisco but now located out of NYC. Portland psych band Eternal Tapestry has also promised a cassette side.
