The schedule of free live shows at Amoeba SF this week is impressive. Tonight at 6:00 pm, Zola Jesus will be playing in support of their new album, Conatus, which is streaming in full via the Guardian. The band’s video for “Vessel” is also out now, via the New York Times. Zola Jesus will be playing the Independent on November 1st.

Tomorrow (Thursday 10/6), Blitzen Trapper will also be playing at 6:00 pm, in support of American Goldwing, the band’s third Sub Pop release. The band will also be at Petaluma’s Mystic Theater on October 7th.

And lastly, Girls will be playing at 2:00 pm this Sunday, 10/9. Father, Son, Holy Ghost is the sunny, fantastic new album from the local band, and if you purchase the CD or LP at Amoeba on Sunday, you can get your copy signed by the band. Girls will be playing at the Great American Music Hall this Saturday and Sunday – Saturday’s show is sold out, but it looks like tickets for Sunday’s show are still available!
