When you break down the Rock Make Street Festival, it’s more than just music and food all day under the sun. Arguably, Rock Make is fueled by its selection of local arts and crafts vendors, and this year, we have over 50 vendors offering hand-crafted clothing, art, jewelry, and goods and services. Here’s a shopping guide to help you start thinking about where to spend your money on Saturday.
- Nidhi Chanani is one of the many print illustrators selling work this year, and is the talented person behind our website banner in 2010.
- BahiaBeads is a San Francisco-based jeweler who crochets colorful glass beads into thick, gorgeous necklaces and bracelets. This is her first year vending at Rock Make!
- 3 Fish Studios is a husband-and-wife duo who started an art studio to collaborate on printmaking, as well as offer workshops! They do a variety of printing methods, and many of their designs have a local twist.
- Mission Thread Clothing screens fun designs onto clothing for men, women and children.
- Turk+Taylor is one of the high-fashion local designers vending at Rock Make this year. Their summer line pieces would be perfect if we ever get that Indian Summer.
- Friends of KUSF, The Poetry Store and Treasure Island Music Festival will also be on-site, or it wouldn’t be a Bay Bridged event!
All Rock Make vendors will be listed in a program handed to festival goers as they arrive on Saturday. For more information on any Rock Make vendors, please visit their booths!
