Sacramento’s Ganglians released their latest LP, Still Living, on Tuesday, August 23 (Lefse), and in promotion have a couple more goodies to go along with it. Above, Terroreyes.tv captured a live session with Ganglians performing a stripped down version of “That’s What I Want,” which, on record, has this strange hybrid of 80s New Wave and surf rock guitar work. In addition, the album is available to stream in full this week on Spinner.
Discussing the new album’s intent, songwriter Ryan Grubbs provides a soundbite that couldn’t better sum up Still Living:
“We’d like to have people dancing…but also getting a little depressed while they’re dancing.” Says Ryan, “We wanted to hit every chord with every person we possibly can.”
