The lineup for the 2011 Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival has been unveiled, and as always, it’s a doozy. Like previous years, the classic bluegrass/folk is well-represented in the form of Gillian Welch, Steve Earle (as well as son Justin Townes Earle), Emmylou Harris, Earl Scruggs, Bela Fleck and many more. And as expected, plenty of non-bluegrass acts are peppered throughout the lineup, including Robert Plant, Thurston Moore, Broken Social Scene, Bright Eyes, Mekons, Kurt Vile, M.Ward, and more. No Steve Martin this year, but, well, what can you do.
Hardly Strictly Bluegrass 2011 will take place Friday, September 30th through Sunday, October 2nd in Golden Gate Park – and of course, it’s completely free. The full lineup (as announced thus far on the Hardly Strictly website) can be found after the jump.
