As a reminder, Fops is a duo featuring Thee More Shallows’ Dee Kesler and Ral Partha Vogalbacher’ Chadwick Donald Bidwell. After releasing the debut Yeth, Yeth, Yeth in 2010, Fops are now announcing a “mini-album” (otherwise known as an EP), entitled For Centuries.

For Centuries comes out on September 5th via Monotreme Records as a cassette plus digital release (so, if you don’t have a cassette player, you’ll still be able to enjoy the music). “Cheater Carolina,” streaming above, is the first mp3 available via Soundcloud from the album.

Join the competition to choose the story for a new Fops video: Fops will give one of their fans the opportunity to choose the song and storyline of a video made by the band for any one of the songs from the EP, except for ‘Cheater Carolina’. Just email proof of purchase (of a single track or the whole EP) to fopsvideocontest AT gmail DOT com. Include your idea, however awesome or terrible, by October 1st 2011, and if you’re chosen they will turn your idea into a video.
