As the New York Times recently pointed out, San Francisco is on a roll (no pun intended) with bringing food and music together, i.e. “A Fine Tune to Match Your Entree.” Noise Pop’s Covers dinners and Turntable Kitchen‘s regular pairings are just two examples, and Slim’s is now stepping in to join the party.
Each Monday during the month of August, Slim’s will host a different Pop-Up Restaurant at the venue. Admission to the events is free – attendees simply pay for whatever food they would like to eat.
The first rendition (featuring the Jetset Chef) has already passed, but two more sessions have been scheduled for the month of August (with two more on the way):
August 8th, 5:30 – 10:00 pm: Cathead’s BBQ
August 15th, 5:30 – 10:00 pm: Radio Africa Kitchen
The Facebook events for each night (August 8th and August 15th) include more information about the participating restaurants, as well as proposed menus for the respective evenings.
