Quietly but surely, Sands (formerly Dame Satan) has been building up a comeback since they premiered the first song from their 4-song EP Sea of Trees, now available. They commissioned a music video by the notably talented Danny Perez for the song “Signs” – Perez, the talent behind the projections at many Animal Collective shows, sure made the video a trip! Sands will be hitting the road in August, paying a visit to the East Coast for a few shows.

Back in the Bay Area mid-August, they play Bottom of the Hill August 12 with Califone and Yesway (members of Honeycomb), and a few other dates to note: a Dark Nights show at the Verdi Club, and Appetite’s record release show in Davis.
