Maus Haus headlines at Bottom of the Hill
Maus Haus recently toured in support of the similarly eclectic Dengue Fever, and the SF electronic rock band has always been a TBB favorite, live and on wax. On Friday, May 13th (9:30pm, $10), the guys headline an all local bill of synth-oriented bands at Bottom of the Hill, with support from Bronze and Pow!.
Bare Wires: back from tour, playing with The Wrong Words and Tropical Sleep
Three awesome local garage pop bands at Cafe Du Nord on May 11th (9:30pm, $10). Bare Wires just completed over two months of touring, and I’m excited about the band’s upcoming album. Support comes from The Wrong Words and Tropical Sleep, two bands with super-poppy releases on Trouble in Mind.
The Wrong Words – “Summer’s Gone”
The Raveonettes bring Raven in the Grave to SF
While 2009’s In and Out of Control suffered by comparison to the records that preceded it, Danish duo The Raveonettes‘ excellent new album, Raven in the Grave, feels darker and more ambitious. The duo and tourmate Tamaryn perform at Bimbo’s on Tuesday, May 10th (9pm, $25).
