Early 2011 has been quite busy — there’s already been so much news of new releases from local bands, even just this week. Add to the list of exciting new records Mrs. Jones’ Cookies, the second LP from spooky female garage trio The Sandwitches, which comes out on Empty Cellar on March 29th. New music has been brewing in The Sandwitches’ live set for some time now (we caught them last month at the GAMH benefit show), and we’re happy that these spectacular new songs have found quality recordings.
Here’s a heartfelt brief on the album from Sonny Smith:
“Like the sapphire Schethiya, The Sandwitches, the crown jewels of the Archangel Lucifer, fell from Heaven.
