Under the Covers Vol 2 cassette
San Diego punk label Volar Records just released a 200-cassette run of a tribute to 70s power-pop hitmakers Paul Collins, Peter Case and Jack Lee. The trio started out in San Francisco as The Nerves before branching into other projects (The Beat, The Plimsouls); they were also behind “When You Find Out” and that one song “Hanging on the Telephone.”

Several contributors to Under the Covers Vol. 2 come out of the San Francisco garage-pop scene: Grass Widow, Hunx & His Punx, The Moonhearts, The Mantles, Personal and the Pizzas, and White Fence.

The cassette is available now, LP purchases will ship in 2-3 weeks. Full track listing after the jump.
