Out December 14th are new records from Wooden Shjips and Moon Duo, featuring both bands’ fuzzed-out takes on holiday traditionals. Wooden Shjips’ versions of “O Tannenbaum” and “Auld Lang Syne†originally emerged on a small-release cassette in 2008. Here, they’re on a green or red 12” limited to 500 copies of each color. Meanwhile, Moon Duo take on “Silver Bells” on the A-side, and “Winter,” a song originally from The Rolling Stones’ Goats Head Soup, on the flip.
