Congratulations to local retro-pop ensemble Hunx & His Punx for announcing that their second LP will be released on Hardly Art next spring! Don’t know the back story of Hunx? It’s juicy. Founder Seth Bogart once hailed as a member of Gravy Train!!!!, and as the story goes, moved out to AZ where he mingled with Nobunny. Though returning home with a broken heart, being back in the Bay hasn’t been a bad thing for Bogart. He found the Punkettes, and together the group wrote numbers to be heard on the new LP out early next year.

Hunx takes a break from live entertaining for the rest of the year, after being the fresh meat at Hardly Art’s CMJ showcase, among the label’s roster of promising acts (which include Woven Bones, Golden Triangle and Vivian Girl Katy Goodman’s newest project, La Sera).
