Trainwreck Riders at GAMH, 8/27/10

It feels like a very long time ago at this point, but for the inaugural year of the Treasure Island Music Festival (a.k.a. September 2007), Trainwreck Riders managed to snag one of the coveted opening “local band” slots. They’ve played Noise Pop and SxSW, they won the SF Guardian ‘Goldie’ award for Best Local Band, they’ve toured with the likes of Two Gallants, Langhorne Slim, and the Devil Makes Three . . . etc. It comes as no surprise that the band will be headlining the Great American Music Hall this Friday, August 27th (9pm, $14, all ages).

Friday’s show, deemed the “Old Time Southern Murder Hour” by Shelby Ash Presents, will also feature Pine Box Boys, Virgil Shaw and Good Luck Thrift Store Outfit.

We have a pair of tickets to give away to Friday’s show. The first person to e-mail contest
