A little while back, John Dwyer let us know that he’d set up another show at Serra Bowl. I’m not sure if you were at the first one, but it was a sweaty good time, full of bowling, beer and rock and roll. The lineup for this next show is equally exciting, featuring the always excellent Ty Segall and the final Bay Area performance by Sacramento’s Mayyors. So kick off your Labor Day weekend with us by heading back to the bowling alley for another awesome night of punk rock and roll in Daly City.

About the bands:
Sacramento’s Mayyors are calling it quits, and the Serra Bowl show is their second-to-last show ever and final Bay Area performance. The band is known for a singularly intense brand of noise punk that amounts to some insane live shows. “
Local hero Ty Segall‘s latest album, Melted, is his best work yet, showcasing both his raw rock and roll sensibility and some unbelievably catchy melodies. “You’re not going to hear many rock records that’ll kick you square in the pants quite like this one this year, provided Segall doesn’t up and crank another one out by December; the kid’s got heart, brains, and quite an ear for a hook, and he throws himself body and soul into these tunes. Segall makes quite an impression in half an hour’s time, and Melted‘s the best foot he’s put forward yet.” (Pitchfork) “On the whole, this is the best album yet from Ty Segall, as joy-ride thrilling as the debut, as clearly delivered as Lemons, but with stronger, more varied writing.” (Dusted Magazine)
Culture Kids is a hardcore/punk band from San Francisco. They have a self-released 7″ and a now out-of-print split tape on Wizard Mountain.
Blasted Canyons includes members of Jonesin’ and Wax Idols. The blown-out psych pop band have a single coming out on Castle Face Records.
