The 2010 Songbird Festival is in full swing, bringing together a variety of local artists to perform in various Mission venues (such as Amnesia, the Make-Out Room and the Blue Macaw; prices of individual shows range from $7-$15):

The Second Summer Songbird Festival takes flight from many branches of the local music scene with performances by Bay Area vocal, visual and performance artists Saturday, July 17, 2010 through Sunday, August 22, 2010. The Festival is a collaboration of diverse local presenters and talent celebrating their original unique expressions in music, performance art and film.

There are currently two weeks left in the festival: August 7th – 13th and August 14th- 22nd. Acts of interest include (but not limited to) members of Conspiracy of Venus, the next Seaweed Sway showcase, and Con Brio.
