It’s almost time for the 2010 Indie Mart season to begin. The annual series of local DIY market events (including both shopping and bands) will kick off on Sunday, June 6th, 2010 (12:00-6:00 pm at Thee Parkside) with a celebration of Indie Mart’s three-year run:

Indie Mart used to be an underground shopping party in the shared backyard of founder Kelly Malone’s Mission apartment. But it grew up. Now in its third year, Indie Mart has quadrupled in size to become one of the most beloved shopping events for SF’s DIY set. Offering an eclectic mix of local designers, vintage, unique finds, live art & silk screening, hot plates, cold beers, and stiff drinks, Indie Mart is all about DIY, loud rawk decibels, local folks and a good time.

Additional details on the June 6th event have not yet been revealed, but in the meantime, the organizers are currently seeking Indie Mart vendors and Indie Mart sponsors.

The subsequent 2010 Indie Mart events will take place on July 18th, September 19th, and November 7th – all Sundays, all 12:00-6:00 pm, all at Thee Parkside.
