Like Christmas Day for music enthusiasts, Record Store Day 2010 is shaping up to be another great celebration of independent record stores all across the nation, in the form of special releases and exclusive events. In the face of the ever-polarizing digital industry, Record Store Day — which takes place this Saturday, April 17th — brings us back to basics, and the joy of the physical music medium.

And with that, the Bay Bridged would like to reward those who participate in this year’s Record Store Day with some cool swag. Will you manage to score any of the particularly special Record Store Day releases: John Lennon, Pavement, Superchunk, Wilco? Will you nab a good spot to see Jonsi for free at Amoeba? Will you party at Aquarius Records and gorge on refreshments?

Take a photo (or two) of your Record Store Day experience at your favorite participating record store(s), or of the haul you managed to collect, and send them to thebaybridged@gmail.com. The best three submissions will each receive a Bay Bridged Director Level Sponsorship package: a The Bay Bridged, Volume 1 CD, The Bay Bridged, Volume 2 vinyl (with digital download) and a Coozie! Particularly good or entertaining submissions may be posted on the web site next week.

Full list of participating Bay Area locations can be found after the jump. You can also read more about special Record Store Day events over at All Shook Down.
