With all of the other earthquakes that have been shaking the rest of the world lately, attention to the devastating Haiti quake seems to have gone by the wayside. The folks at SOIL are working to turn this around, however, by putting together a benefit for Haitian relief at Bottom of the Hill on Tuesday, April 13th.
SOIL stands for Sustainable Organic Integrated Livelihoods, and the organization is “dedicated to protecting soil resources, empowering communities and transforming wastes into resources in Haiti.” Their Tuesday benefit show will feature Anticon locals Jel (also of Themselves) and Odd Nosdam, as well as Chicago artist Serengeti. The show will be hosted by Los Angeles’ Nocando.
