The Blank Tapes (also known as prolific local musician Matt Adams) have a new album out entitled Home Away From Home, the latest effort since previous albums Daydreams and Landfair. The new album is currently available as a free download via Play White Noise, but for a limited amount of time (so act fast!). After this temporary free release, the album will be available as both compact disc and vinyl LP.

Additionally, the Blank Tapes will be performing in a series of shows this week/weekend to showcase the new music:

– Thursday, April 1st at Amnesia (with Shakes, Pony Village and Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt), 9:00 pm, 21+

– Friday, April 2nd at Ghost Town Gallery (with Greg Ashley, Grand Lake, Giant Cloud, Rad Cloud, White Cloud and more), 9:00 pm, all ages, $7

– Saturday, April 3rd at Blue Six (with Giant Cloud), 9:00 pm, all ages, $10

– Sunday, April 4th at Moe’s Alley in Santa Cruz (with Sean Hayes), 8:30 pm, 21+, $15
