Sleepy Sun‘s 2009 Embrace caused a bit of a whirlwind, and increased appreciation of the band’s stellar, bright, sludgy psych-rock. The band saw subsequent critical acclaim for the record (SPIN, for instance, included the album in 10 Best Albums You Might Have Missed in 2009), a coveted spot at the 2009 Treasure Island Music Festival, and an exclusive New, Improved, LIVE Session.

And now, the details surrounding Sleepy Sun’s next album have been revealed. The full-length comes out on June 1st via ATP Recordings, with the title Fever and the above album art. The album’s release will be accompanied by a lengthy tour, including 14 shows opening for Arctic Monkeys (speaking of notable locals opening for well-known national acts). The tour will come to end with a homecoming show at the Rickshaw Stop on April 24th.
