The supremely talented Emily Jane White may not have yet received the attention stateside that she’s found abroad, but one hopes that she’ll reach new audiences with the domestic release of her sophomore album Victorian America on April 27th on Milan Records. The album is the follow-up to 2007’s wonderful Dark Undercoat and her 2008 contribution to The Bay Bridged, Volume 2.

White’s currently on a European tour — the new album was released abroad last year — and recently filmed the Takeaway show posted above. She’ll be at the Rickshaw Stop on March 31st.
