Amoeba Music, “the world’s largest independent record store” (in case you didn’t know), has joined the ranks of organizations doing their part to support relief efforts in Haiti by opening up a special online store.
Those who purchase items from the online store will a) become owners of awesome music, and b) be responsible for more money added to Haiti relief funds. Amoeba will match all sales, dollar for dollar, specifically to Doctors without Borders.
Highlights from the “Music for Haiti Relief” store include the new albums by Beach House, Spoon, Four Tet, Massive Attack, etc., as well as more classic collections from Sam Cooke, Talking Heads, Moby, and many more.
If you would rather help out in person, Amoeba Music will also match donations made at the in-store locations (San Francisco and Berkeley stores here in the Bay Area).
