Ferocious, CFAV, Monbon 1/6

This Wednesday head on out to the Mission and check out a very diverse line-up over at the Elbo Room on the cheap (8pm, 5), including one of the city’s most hard-working bands.

The Ferocious Few will be kicking things off in style with their two-man blues rock jams. There will be two more opportunities to catch them doing what they do best before SXSW: later this month at the Rickshaw (Jan. 27) and at Bottom of the Hill (Feb. 8) — see their MySpace for show details.

Monbon’s up next at Elbo, and if you haven’t had the pleasure of seeing this young vixen, envision her standing on stage with a mic and a guitar belting out tunes that make even the most jaded of music lovers take notice.

Finally, the Bay’s masked avengers, Can’t Find a Villain, will provide what is hoped to be a dynamic and engaging performance. The music is often more punk rock than hip-hop and they never fail to get the crowd going.
