Next Saturday night (9pm, $16), it’s a toss-up between sticking around Treasure Island for MGMT, or catching an enticing line-up at the Great American Music Hall: Why, Mount Eerie (WA), Au (Portland) and Serengeti & Polyphonic.
This bill is nothing short of diverse — from a Phil Elverum appearance to Au’s deconstructed folk, and starting with a Windy City rapping duo. Serengeti & Polyphonic have been the main dish on the plate of experimental hip-hop lately, calling Anticon home. Check out their semi-biographical short for “Call the Law”:
