Odawas – “Harmless Lover’s Discourse”
SF electronic rock duo Odawas play their first local show in sometime Thursday night at the Rickshaw Stop. They’ll be joined by locals City Light and Mira Cook. 8pm, $10.

Saturday, August 15th – Octopus Project @ Bottom of the Hill
It’s quite a weekend at Bottom featuring two great shows and some local favorites. Austin’s own Octopus Project headlines Saturday night with their theramin-infused electro rock and always entertaining live show. Birds & Batteries, who we just presented over at El Rio on the 4th of July, is supporting the bill with The Dont’s opening. 10pm, $12.
The Dont’s will also be playing at our 2nd Annual Rock Make Street Festival on Sunday, August 23rd.

Sunday, August 16th – Love is Chemicals @ Bottom of the Hill
Bottom of the Hill on Sunday night features a great bill headlined by San Francisco’s Love is Chemicals. The show’s presented by Three Ring Records and also features Aim Low Kid and Solar Powered People. 8pm, $8.

Icelandic singer-songwriter Emiliana Torrini heads to Great American as part of her US tour. The singer’s latest album is 2008’s Me And Armini on Rough Trade Records, and her music has been featured in a number of TV series. Anya Marina supports. 8pm, $20, All Ages.
