If your Wednesday afternoon is free due to unemployment, a glorious day off or any other reason, head to Amoeba SF for a live set from Oakland-based noise outfit Pink Mountain. Their latest double disc on Sick Room is experimentally all-inclusive — with both jazzy and proggy moments, both violently heavy and electronically docile. And for comic relief or inaccurate preconceptions, the label would like you to know that “no jamming was undertaken in the making of this record.”
The following night Pink Mountain will play the Hemlock with Eyes and Moe! Staiano (9pm, $7) before traveling to Portland and Seattle.
