A couple of weeks ago we tested out “Ticket Giveaway Friday” and ended up giving 3 pairs of tickets and a Deerhoof T-shirt from Insound. With the success of that event we have decided to make this a regular event on TheBayBridged.com and move it to Wednesdays. So here we go:

Art Brut
Art Brut is headlining over at The Independent next Monday, June 15th with locals LoveLikeFire opening. This is their only date in the Bay Area and sits between a four day residency in Chicago beginning today and a four day residency down in LA beginning on the 16th. These are the band’s only North American dates booked thus far in support of their latest release, Art Brut vs. Satan.

To see Art Brut for free all you have to do is send an E-mail to contest@thebaybridged.com and answer the question: “What is your favorite up and coming European artist and why?” The winner will be chosen at random on Friday, June 12th at noon and notified by E-mail.

Hawnay Troof – “Underneath the Ocean”

Our other two giveaways are over at Bottom of the Hill this weekend. Friday night, Telepathe will be joined on stage by Nite Jewel and Oakland-based Hawnay Troof. Telepathe is touring the US behind their debut album Dance Mother, produced by TV On The Radio’s David Sitek.

Saturday features an all local bill with Apside, Off Campus (featuring The Pattern’s Chris Appelgren and Andy Asp), and The Audiophiles. About The Audiophiles, we’ve previously said: “If you thought ‘high school sweethearts’ was just a random catch-phrase, you’re mistaken. The Audiophiles’ infectious indie riffs are way beyond their years but not stiff in any way.”

To win tickets to either of the Bottom of the Hill shows, send an E-mail to contest@thebaybridged.com with the phrase “I want to go to Bottom of the Hill on [insert Friday or Saturday]!”. The winner will be picked at random Thursday at noon and notified via E-mail.

Art Brut at The Independent is $15, starts at 9pm and is 21+
Both Bottom of the Hill shows are $10, start at 10pm and are 21+
