What a week for local music! Wednesday a (primarily) local showcase at The Rickshaw (8pm, $8) will take place thanks to SF’s Stranger Dance, including French Miami, By Sunlight (Seattle) and Silian Rail.

Don’t know what you’re in store for when it comes to seeing Silian Rail? Just heading back to town from a West Coast tour, the two piece instrumental packs in more volume and melody than some full bands! Here is a video podcast they did a while back with Chasing the Moon at Hyde Street Studios, the hub of many local artists’ intimate film performances (there’s a new podcast up of Michael Musika, playing Cafe du Nord this Thursday).
