Rogue Wave continues their tradition of charitable work by helping the D.A. Taylor Foundation raise some much-needed money for this year’s scholarship recipient. Catch them with Adam Stephens and the Finite Plain this Sunday, June 7th at The Independent and get that warm and fuzzy feeling as you realize you’re rocking out and helping someone get to college. Look at that.. makin’ a difference!
D.A. Taylor, a young man struck down in the prime of his life, was an inspiration — so much so that his family started a foundation to carry on his legacy. A military child, he was moved from place to place in his youth, but that didn’t stop him from staying at the top of his class in school or at the top of his game in sports. At age 17, D.A. Taylor died of meningococcal meningitis.
His foundation aims to give promising young children the necessary funding to attend colleges that they might have the mental resources to attend to but not the monetary resources to fund, and who also exhibit the leadership and determination for which Taylor was known.
So make your money count. You were gonna go see Rogue Wave soon anyway, right? Two birds, one stone.
