Maybe you’ve heard of local musician Neil Young — he’s been living in the area for some years, now. June 2 marks the release of Neil Young Archives Volume I, which embarks on a journey starting from Winnipeg 1963 with The Squires up until a little after the sessions of 1972’s Harvest.
Check out a demo of the Archives here.
Bay Areans have a special tie to the catalog of Neil Young, much of which was inspired by the landscapes of the Woodside hills, where Young resides and records in many locations on his property. He’s even produced the collection himself, and it includes hand-picked studio and live recordings with Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, among others.
