Forever ago, Dreamdate played a show in downtown Davis which satisfied the audience so deeply that an encore was demanded. As bashful and charming as possible did the girls admit they knew only one more song: The Monster Mash, a CD single they released in 2006. And they played it, like good sports, but now crowds need not worry — there’s enough Dreamdate songs to last a couple hours!

The record release party for their latest release, Patience, at the Knockout this Saturday with fellow Oaklanders The Pets, The Splinters and guest DJs is only the beginning of a string of Dreamdate shows around the Bay Area coming up, including Sacramento, Nevada City and a good part of the rest of the west coast.
