While at a mini Bay Area show of sorts over at the Mohawk last night, we ran into Owen Grace, one of the founders of Bandloop, who was excited to show us the next big project they have been working on. It turns out they’ve been quite busy moving into the mobile world with the release of the Bandloop iPhone Application which merges their already extensive concert listings on bandloop with an interactive map that automatically locks into your location and loads the appropriate shows for the night.

We were definitely impressed with the quick demo we saw and look forward to using it here at SxSW and when we’re back in the Bay Area. This freely available application can be found on iTunes by using this link or by searching on the iPhone App Store with the phrase “band loop”.
