The Mountain Goats return to the Bay Area once again for two shows in San Francisco – Thursday at The Independent and Friday at The Fillmore, both with Kaki King (NY).
The amazingly prolific and talented John Darnielle was kind enough to do an interview with our own Adrian Bischoff this year during Noise Pop. It’s no surprise that since then, he has released a new EP, entitled Satanic Messiah, that can be downloaded online (he’s counting on donations!).
Featured on Pitchfork in early Sept., the two performers have recorded a song together that appears on their joint Black Pear Tree EP. Check it out:

The shows start at 8pm. The Independent show is sold out, but The Fillmore still has tickets for $22.50.
