Just another example of a great local band getting a fantastic opportunity, The Heavenly States will play a 3-day residency at the Fillmore with Spoon starting tonight. Not surprisingly, all three shows are already sold out, but this surely won’t be the last opportunity to see this great band live.

With the upbeat collection of garage rock tracks that make up their last album Delayer, released in February, we are not surprised that this band is making it big. The band’s arrangements are one-of-a-kind, with thick instrumentation (keyboards, strings, guitar, drums, bass, and more) over solid rock songwriting. Our feature podcast on the band was put out just after the album was released, so you can hear the band talk about the album and their tour earlier this year.
