Outta Sight, a monthly showcase of great live music at Edinburgh Castle, will celebrate its one-year anniversary this Wednesday, August 20. The show will feature Campo Bravo, Beatbeat Whisper, Donald Meints (of Reduced to Ruin) and B and Not B.
Both Campo Bravo and Beatbeat Whisper are slowing down their touring and coming back from busy post-album affairs. Campo Bravo released Denver Lights & Eagle Rock Dreamer back in April, and while they take it easy, lead Mark Matos has started the project Mark Matos & Os Beaches, who played their debut show back in July. Check out the Bay Bridged podcast with Campo Bravo from March for some more details about the album, and the personalities of the band members. More news is expected to come as far as what the band is up to next.
Beatbeat Whisper’s album Wonder Continental was released on May 1, and they have been riding the wave of press and shows ever since. This brother and sister duo has been featured on Daytrotter, as well as the Bay Bridged podcast.
Adding the infectious pop of B and Not B and Reduced to Ruin’s Donald Meints to the bill, it promises to be an exciting celebration paying tribute to another one of the Bay Areas great musical events. The show starts at 9pm and costs $5.
