After a break from their ever constant tour schedule promoting their 2006 self-titled debut, the guys of Birdmonster will be releasing their sophomore album, From The Mountain To The Sea early next month. With their previous album gaining a lot of hype throughout the local and national scene their newest album proves to be a divergence from the straight rock/alt country sound that we’ve come to know and love.

As you’ll hear from the new track below, “Born To Be Your Man” adds a few new instruments to their arsenal and lays down the groundwork for what is anticipated to be a much more acoustic sounding album. Produced by Tom Schick (previous artists include Norah Jones and Ryan Adams) and released by their new label, FADER Label, From The Mountain to The Sea will be released digitally on August 5th and out in stores on September 2nd.
