There is a fantastic lineup at Thee Parkside this Wednesday, June 18, presented by our friends at Wiretap Music. The Blank Tapes, Man/Miracle and Harbours will all take the stage to benefit the Electronic Frontier Foundation, an organization working to defend free speech, privacy, innovation and consumer rights in the digital age.

All three bands have exciting times on the horizon. The Blank Tapes, whom we just featured on the podcast in May, just never seem to stop. Probably one of the most prolific artists we’ve featured, Matt Adams releases material faster than most of us can listen to it. After his 2007 album Daydreams, he has recently released an album of covers called Friends & Favorites. Supplementing his manic songwriting with manic show dates, The Blank Tapes will play tons of shows now through August around California.

Man/Miracle has continued to wow us here at TBB with their incredible stage energy, creative arrangements and danceable indie rock gems. We featured them on our podcast back in April, and The Bay Bridged will be presenting their single release at Bottom of the Hill on July 11. That show will also be celebrating 20 Minute Loop’s CD Release and have another Bay Bridged favorite, Caves, open the evening. Keep an eye on Man/Miracle at their MySpace page and don’t miss them live.

It’s been over a year since we covered Harbours in our feature podcast, but they’ve continued to bring their upbeat folk-inspired rock tunes to audiences throughout the Bay Area. They are currently in the studio working on their second album, a follow-up to their fantastic debut Second Story Maker.

It’s a show not to be missed. It starts at 9pm and costs $6-20.
